[SMM Weekly Review: PV-grade EVA Prices Decline Weakly, Film Prices Fall Under Pressure in July] This week, PV-grade EVA prices ranged from 9,500 to 9,700 yuan/mt, with mainstream prices for EVA film ranging from 12,000 to 12,300 yuan/mt, and prices for EPE film ranging from 13,000 to 13,200 yuan/mt.

SMM News on July 11:

EVA: This week, the price of PV-grade EVA ranged from 9,500 to 9,700 yuan/mt. Recently, downstream film enterprises have been replenishing their stocks one after another, and the order situation of petrochemical plants has been relatively good. However, on the demand side, the module scheduled production continued to decline in July, with a significant contraction in demand. On the supply side, some petrochemical enterprises have switched to maintenance, leading to a continuous tightening of PV-grade EVA resin supply. The overall market showed a pattern of weak supply and demand, and it is expected that the price of PV-grade EVA resin will be in the doldrums in the near future.

Film: The mainstream price range of EVA film is from 12,000 to 12,300 yuan/mt, and the price range of EPE film is from 13,000 to 13,200 yuan/mt. The price of PV-grade EVA resin on the cost side has continued to decline, providing some cost support for film prices. On the demand side, the module production schedule fell short of expectations. Under the pattern of weak costs and demand, film prices have remained low.

POE: The domestic delivery-to-factory price of POE ranges from 11,000 to 14,000 yuan/mt. The market trading atmosphere has been relatively sluggish. On the demand side, the module production schedule has declined, and the operating rate of film enterprises has dropped, with demand falling short of expectations. It is difficult for prices to rise, and it is expected that the price of PV-grade POE will remain weak and stable in the near future.

It is understood that the National Energy Administration has officially approved the power source allocation plan for the "Qaidam Desert Base (East Golmud) Base". The planned construction scale of the power source projects at this base is 17.44 million kilowatts, including 10 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power, 5 million kilowatts of wind power, 2.64 million kilowatts of coal-fired power, 0.1 million kilowatts of solar thermal power, and 1.5 million kilowatts (for 4 hours) of electrochemical energy storage. The total investment in the projects is about 86 billion yuan. The new energy will be transmitted to Guangxi through the "Qinghai-Guangxi DC" UHV power transmission project. Currently, significant progress has been made in the preliminary work of the "Qinghai-Guangxi DC" project, w

[SMM PV News] Armenia Hits 1.1 GW Solar Capacity,
Armenia’s cumulative solar capacity has surged to 1.1 GW following the addition of approximately 615 MW in 2025. This rapid expansion has pushed solar's share of electricity generation to around 15%, effectively meeting the country's 2030 target years ahead of schedule. The growth is heavily driven by a net-metering scheme supporting over 50,000 autonomous producers (totaling 650 MW), though the government ended loan subsidies for rooftop solar in July to shift focus toward battery storage.
